August Waffles Wisdom
Dear Waffles: I read in your newsletter that you're the one-stop shop for wisdom regarding living my best life. Would love to hear what you think the top 3 rules to live by for the most fulfilling life is.
Thank you so much for being a venerable resource and a valued partner.
In peanut butter we trust, Erin M.
Darlin', listen up 'cause Auntie Waffles is about to snatch your weave with some real wisdom! You want the top three rules for a life more fulfilling than last week's paycheck? Well, hold onto your metaphorical tail, 'cause here's the T:
Rule Number One: Find Your Damn Passion! Honey, you ain't a beige office drone, you're a human with a heart of gold and hopefully, a dream that wags with purpose! What makes you tick? Is it helping others? Creating something beautiful? Saving the planet with Premiums for the Planet? Whatev-er it is, find it, nurture it, and let it be your guiding star, darling!
Rule Number Two: Shake Off the Doubters, Honey! Life's a catwalk, but some folks are throwing rotten tomatoes from the sidelines. Gossip-spewing co-workers, that judgmental neighbor – don't let their negativity dim your inner light! Strut your stuff with confidence, 'cause the only approval you truly need is your own.
Rule Number Three: Spread That Human Kindness! A fulfilling life ain't a solo act, sugar! Share your sparkle with the world! Volunteer your time, help a stranger in need, or just flash those pearly whites at a passerby. When you lift others up, you rise with them, creating a symphony of joy that'll drown out all the negativity.
And that's the T, Erin M.! Live by these rules, and your life will be more fulfilling than a post-work massage! Now, sashay away and remember, in peanut butter we trust, but in yourself, you MUST!
Woooooooooork!
Dear Waffles: I’ve been hearing a lot lately about how meditation is so great for the mind and body. But I find it impossible to do. Any tips?
Sincerely, Sabrina S.
Honey, meditation might seem like a drag, but it's a fabulous way to recharge your batteries. If you're struggling at home, try finding a mindfulness bestie, a meditation group, or an app. Having others around can make it less intimidating. And remember, even a few minutes of quiet reflection can make a big difference. For some people, moving meditations like yoga or tai chi can be helpful. So, step into meditation, whether it's still or moving, and see what it can do for your fabulous self!
